Hi Lovelies!!

I hope you have been doing alright.

It’s not new that my skin reacts to all forms of Vitamin C and for the longest time I kept trying to find some variant of Vitamin C that would work for me but alas, I am proud to say I have given up on the vitamin C train. In fact, now, when I’m looking for skincare products, as soon as I see some sort of Vitamin C in the product, I stay far away from it.

But, it has not changed or stopped me from trying out other products in general, hence this review.

Today, I want to review the Aichun Beauty Egg Yolk Serum. I came across it while searching for serums in the store and I decided to give it a try.

Product Details:  Aichun Beauty Egg Yolk Serum is a serum and comes in a 30ml bottle. It is from the Aichun Beauty brand which is made in the Philippines. The serum has other variants such as Aloe vera, Carrot, Snail white etc.

Price: 30ml at 1,000 – 2,000naira. Price may vary based on your location.

My Experience

So, the first few days of using this serum were not particularly bad or maybe I did not notice anything because I wasn’t looking. I had been having breakouts that didn’t seem to be going away. I’d tried quite a few products and the purpose of the serum was to brighten my face, especially the spots left behind from the breakout, hydrate and glow. Simple!

I noticed some things about this serum. This product caused my face to be very oily. I’d apply it at night and wake up with my face looking oily/greasy which is surprising. I’m not usually very oily on my face.

It is lightweight and applies like water to your face. Non-sticky and not oily either. I kept using it but I stopped around the time I had a very bad break out. At the time, I stopped all the skincare products I was using around the time. I have not decided if I want to add it back to my routine though. I am quite undecided about this serum.

Pros:

  • Lightweight and dries really fast.
  • No scent or smell.
  • It made my skin look glowy or maybe it was just oily.
  • Quite moisturizing and not drying.
  • The texture is non-sticky and not oily either.
  • Quite affordable.

Cons:

  • My skin looked quite greasy and I did not like that. I like dewy, not greasy.

Rating: 4/5

If you have oily and acne-prone skin, this serum is not for you but, if your skin is really really dry then this is a perfect serum to try out. It will help moisturise your skin without making it oily.

I feel like I want to try the carrot one but maybe I will at some point.

Until my next post, Kisses!
