Today’s review is on Asantee Milk Salt Spa body scrub.

I did a review on the Asantee Tamarind Scrub a few years ago and to be honest, after that year, around 2021, I almost completely stopped any form of scrubbing on my skin and let me tell you, I noticed the difference. I struggled with a lot of spots, my skin has not been as even as it was that year. So, I decided to get back to my full skincare routine and getting a scrub was top on the list.

The first scrub I bought was the Veet Gold Coffee and Coconut Scrub which turned out to be a total disaster, read my review to find out why. I needed a comeback and Asantee came back to mind. I was to choose between the Turmeric and Milk Scrub, and as you can guess, the milk spa scrub won!

Product Details: Asantee Milk Salt Spa Scurb Honey + Collagen scrub is a Thailand product. It comes in a 700ml cup which is quite big. There are a lot of other variants for this scrub and all their scrubs contain Honey + Collagen

Price: 1,500 – 2,500 naira for a 700ml cup. Price may vary based on your location.

Ingredients: Sodium chloride, Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfite, Fragrance, Milk extract, Honey, Collagen.

My Experience

Okay so, this one I prefer to the Tamarind Scrub. After I used the Veet Gold Coffee and Coconut Scrub, I wanted something better and more effective and I remembered I had a great experience with the Asantee Scrub so I went to the beauty store to get one. This time, I decided to try a different variant, Hence this.

As usual, they didn’t change the formula of this. It works as I remember, it exfoliates my skin properly and I absolutely love it!!! You can’t go wrong with this.

How to use

  1. Apply all over your body, after bathing while your body is still wet. Best used with an exfoliating glove sponge for better results.
  2. Rub for about 3-5 mins
  3. Leave on for 5-10 mins, and rinse off.
  4. Moisturize a lot immediately after.

You can also mix the scrub as I did. Immediately I got it and based on my previous experience with Asantee Scrub and how drying it can be, I added some Carrot Oil and White now oil.
Be careful not to add too much oil into the scrub as it will make it a bit too watery/loose.

  • An effective way to exfoliate.
  • It lathers a lot!
  • It leaves your skin feeling baby smooth as always.
  • Affordable and long-lasting.
  • Can be used on both the face and body but I would advise you to use salt scrubs only on your body and not on your face.
  • Scents nice! Will leave the bathroom smelling the same way.

  • Can be quite drying.

Rating 4.5/5

I wish I had tried this as opposed to the Tamarind Scrub. This is definitely a new favorite

Another thing I like is how I can add some oil to make it moisturizing and more effective. So, do not be afraid to add a bit of oil like Carrot oil, Almond oil and your serums too. Be careful not to add too much as it will make your scrub lose and watery.

Until my next post. Kisses!
