Hi Hi Hi!

I have another perfume review.. I think, honestly, that you would not want to hear about my perfume rants because they are a lot!!!!

This perfume has been on my wishlist for the longest period of time! when I tell you the longest, I mean the longest time. So, buying this perfume was truly a big deal and I did not necessarily feel the need to do this review.

BUT!!! I had to do this review for 2 reasons;

  1. This perfume brand is a Nigerian brand which is quite exciting on its own. Finding a Nigerian brand interested in bringing quality to the perfume sphere is a first for me. I’ve seen a lot of that with Skincare, Fashion, Art, Music etc. but not perfumes.
  2. It is quite expensive and I feel before you buy this or invest in it, you should know what you are getting.

Passion is a fragrance variation by Beguile By Omaa. A Nigerian brand, whose owner is Ihuoma Eze. The perfumes were made in the UAE (the home of perfumes and scents, in my opinion).

I was quite excited about buying this perfume and yes, the amount is way way way above my usual perfume range but I was ready for my first real investment in the perfume world. Alas, I was not entirely disappointed but for the price, I definitely expected more.

Price: 15,000 naira.

Notes: According to their website

TOP NOTES: Bergamot, Jasmine, Pink pepper

MID NOTES: Rose, Orange blossom, peach, violet

DRY NOTES: Cedarwood, Vanilla, Patchouli, Fenugreek

Longevity: 1.5/5 I was a bit disappointed with this actually. It doesn’t last long at all for me. For a 15k perfume, it felt too light, or maybe it was the batch I was sent. It is not like they said in all the reviews at all.

Silage: 2/5. This is not a smell-me-before-you-see-me kind of perfume. In my opinion, it is more of a sensual perfume, that is, if you spray it on your clothes as opposed to your skin, people would have to come close to you to smell it on you.

Sex: Definitely feminine.

Description

This perfume smells beautiful. The initial spray fills the air almost immediately.
It is a classy, feminine scent that is mild and definitely makes you stand out.

It smells about 90% similar to La Vie Est Belle by Lancome. If you have smelled LVEB then this is the closest dupe you would find.

Longevity and sillage are too low: I usually have to douse myself with the perfume to be able to get decent silage from it which by 2 hours is completely gone. I also tend to use it with perfume oil to give it a boost. You can do this with a sweet-smelling and longer-lasting Mist/perfume/oil such as LVEB by Lancome or Poison By Dior perfume/oil. These combo work to give this perfume a boost.

Kindly note these opinions are personal. My review could be a result of so many factors including personal preferences even though I will not be purchasing this again. This is because I love being noticed by my scent, I love it when people smell me when I walk by or come close outside of just generally smelling good.

If you like to smell feminine but you love to be noticed by your scent, this is not for you. You will have to combine it with something else to get something noticeable from this. But, if you enjoy skin scents that do not attract too much attention to you but still leave you smelling good, then this is one of the good ones out there.

Until my next post, Kisses!

    Thank You!!!!

I thought I was the only one disappointed. With the amount positive reviews I saw, I thought, maybe it’s just me.

I don’t agree with you in some things, like you said it’s your own opinion. I absolutely love all their fragrances especially Goddess, also a 15k perfume is not in anyway expensive at all, look at the perfumes you compared it to LVEB by lancome is definition of expensive, for passion to even smell close to it for 15k that is a yes for me. It last long for me 7-9hrs which is ok for that price range, if this perfume was maybe 50k then i’ll have a problem with it, but for 15k it is definitely worth it.

As for Goddess i sprayed it to the gym and 2 days later, when it was time for me to do my laundry I could still smell it. Omo maybe it is the batch you got true true because Goddess last even longer than seduction and passion.

    Hi Tolani,

I have not tried Goddess, they were supposed to send a tester sample for me when I ordered for Passion but I guess they forgot. Also, I’ve tried another clone of LVEB by Lancome by Fragrance World and that one is cheaper and longer-lasting.

I guess I just expected more based on all the hype and it didn’t just meet up to my expectations.

Although, now that you mentioned that Goddess is longer-lasting,than the others, I think I would give that a try. Thanks for your comment.
