Hey, lovelies!!

Today’s review is the Jam Goatmilk Gluta Collagen Soap. I got to find out about this soap on youtube. After I watched several youtube videos about soaps, Jam soap stuck out to me in particular because it contains Goat milk. I went ahead to do some research about goatmilk in skincare products hence this review.

Jam Soap

In my previous post where I talked about skin thinning, you can read that here, I mentioned something about using products that would help my skin build, this is the first step towards that.

Another reason why Jam soap caught my attention is that it contained Gluta and Collagen. As we all know collagen benefits to the skin are endless hence, I could not pass up the opportunity of trying this soap out.

Jam Soap

Product Details: Jam Goatmilk Guta Collagen soap is a Thailand product and comes in a small bar. They have a wide variety of soaps, including turmeric soap, rice milk soap, etc. The list is long.

My Experience

Jam collagen soap was supposed to be a face soap, but I decided to use it for my face and body instead.

When I started using this Jam soap, to be honest, I had no expectations. I had never used goat milk skincare products so I do not know how the skin reacts to them, but alas! I love this soap. It is a definition of small but mighty. It took about 2 weeks of use for me to notice anything. One thing that stood out to me is the level of skin peeling my skin went through. My whole body peeled. The peeling started from my face as I would apply the soap on my face, leave for up to 5 mins before I wash it off.

On the second week by whole body started peeling, starting from my palms, then my arms, my feet, and the rest of my body followed. After the peeling, I can say my skin looked more even all around. The main issue I had with this soap was the fact that it left my skin looking white if I didn’t apply any moisturizer.

My skin, at the moment still peels now and then.

Pros:

  • Smells silky, sweet, and lovely.
  • Lathers a lot! For a small soap, I am quite impressed.
  • Like other Thailand products, it helped me even out my skin tone.
  • It is quite affordable.

Cons:

  • Extremely drying!!!!

Verdict: 9/10

This review is based on my skin type but all-in-all, I highly recommend especially as a face soap. If you have oily and acne-prone skin, you will enjoy this soap. For dry skin, you will need a heavy-duty moisturizer.

Use with a heavy-duty moisturizer for dry skin types and sunscreen just to be safe.

Until my next post, Kisses.

Exactly what is happening to my face. I bought the jam goat milk soap because I was having some reaction on my face as I’d stopped using a face cream(Lalala). After using Jam soap to wash my face, my face becomes white and dry, and i noticed my face is becoming darker. I’m yet to see any improvement. I might just stop using the soap.

    Hi Mongol,
It could be that it doesn’t work well for your face. Also, you have to continue using a face cream, it may be that stopping the face cream made it happen.

Lalala is strong cream, and stopping it will definitely make u dark .

Good morning ma ,started using the soap for one week now I notice after applying it on my face for some minute when I rinse it off…my face will be peppering me and cause more pimples to be coming out…more over after using it to wash my face I normally use my boot traditional toner (glycerin and rose water) to clean my face then apply my mei pie vitamin c serum finally sunscreen although I don’t go out …pls ma will like to know where the problem is coming from…and I highly suspected it is from the soap.thanks

    Hi Mrs Florence,
If it is causing more pimples to come out of your face kindly stop use. It could be that the soap has a different effect on your skin. Everyone’s skin is different and your skin may not like the soap.

Does it work for cream reaction

Half Price Beau · July 12, 2022 at 7:38 pm

    Hi Kyella,

No, it doesn’t work for reaction or pimples. It works more for brightening/lightening.

Cheche · July 24, 2022 at 10:32 pm

I’m contemplating getting it but my skin is the sensitive type.. I scar easily.. so I want to know I using the soap will give me dark knuckles and the likes. Plus I wanted to get it to see if it’ll.help me lighten my problem areas (hands and feet). Kindly advice me. And the peeling.. is it obvious or problematic?.

Half Price Beau · July 25, 2022 at 2:25 pm

    Hi Cheche,
No, it would not give you dark knuckles or anything. If anything, it will help lighten and clear any scars you have. Regarding the peeling, I have sensitive skin and my skin reacts to changes in soaps and a lot of skincare products by peeling. The level of peeling depends on how strong the product is.
So the peeling isn’t usually wrong. All you have to do is make sure you moisturise your skin properly and it wouldn’t show at all.

Please, which among the Jam soaps can one who has lots of hyperpigmentation and dull skin due to pregnancy use? Thanks Ma

Half Price Beau · August 18, 2022 at 9:20 am

    Hi Ogugua,

The Jam Goat milk soap, Jam Turmeric soap and Jam Papaya soap are the best for hyperpigmentation. The best would be the jam turmeric soap, it works well. Although, it’s a bit scarce too
