Hi Lovelies,

I hope you are staying safe.

Today, I want to review Pure Carrot Soap. For a while now, Pure Carrot has been on a rave everywhere. A lot of people have spoken about the lotion and its effective whitening on youtube. Knowing myself, I am still very skeptical about lotions, hence, I decided to try out the soap instead.

Product Details: Pure carrot soap comes in 3 different variants. The Orange (carrot), white (kojic), and gold  In today’s review, I will be talking about the Orange one, as that is the one I’ve used. It is a 3-way lightening soap with Carrot oil, Arbutin and Glutathione as the main lightening ingredients.

Pure carrot is a product of Glowhite cosmetics and has many products ranging from soaps, serums, lotions, shower gels, and face creams.

Pure Carrot soap review

My Experience

I have been using this soap for over a month now which is long enough to make a review and all I can say is I absolutely love this soap. This soap is budget-friendly and works perfectly at lightening the skin. For a long time, I struggled with finding products that would give me the perfect shade, where I don’t look to0 pale or look too warm-yellow. Pure carrot soap lightened my skin beautifully whilst giving me the glow and tone that I really like and my skin looks even all around.  When I did step out of the house, I kept getting looks and being called “oyibo”, “chinco” which made me notice that I had gotten a lot lighter than my usual skin tone.

Another thing was that I got up to 2 shades lighter than my previous skin tone. I think this is because together with the soap, I used a scrub and I did not go out in the sun due to the lockdown.

The soap bar is big and has lasted for over a month now and it is not drying or harsh neither is it heavy on the skin. It leaves your skin feeling clean.

Pros

  • Very affordable
  • Really works at lightening the skin when combined with other products.
  • Long-lasting and lathers well enough.
  • Gentle and non-drying.
  • Helped me clear the reaction I got previously.

Cons

SIncerely, no cons for me at all.

Rating: 9/10

After this bar, I am definitely looking forward to trying out all the other soaps and the serums from this brand. I am very much impressed with the results I got and will stock up on these products. I will post further reviews when I have tried them out.

To be more honest, I don’t know if it’s the combination of the soap, body scrub, body oil, and little to no sunlight that lightened me, but as a base, this soap is a good buy. Also, for dark-skinned beauties that do not wish to lighten their skin, it would be safe to stay away from this soap as it may lighten you especially if you combine it with the lotion or if you use it with other skin lightening products.

Until my next post, Kisses!.

Is it better than Kojic acid

Half Price Beau · June 1, 2020 at 7:34 pm

    HI Pamela,
That depends on what you are going for. If you are going for skin lightening or you want to lighten spots or dark marks then the kojic acid soap is better. But if you are going for skin brightening, maintaining your already light skin tone or looking for a really good soap base for your skin lightening products then you can go for this one instead. The strength and use is the difference
