Hello Hello!!! I know it’s been a long long long while since you heard from me. Its been a crazy period for me but I am happy to be back and I am so happy to talk about this.
To be honest, since I used Palm Olives naturals shower cream, I’ve been going back and forth with acne all over my face. I had lost all interest in makeup or even taking care of my skin. It’s been a rough struggle for me. My skin has not been the same ever since. I have also had to stay away from trying new products or even use any product entirely also for the same reasons.
What did I do?? Well here’s what I used instead to clear my skin.
Product Details: DEBBITONE BLACK SOAP is a Ghana made black soap.
Price: 900naira. I also know it ranges from N900 to N2,000. Price may vary depending on your location. Click here to buy.
Ingredients: Herbal extracts, Dychlorometazylenol, Aqua, Glycerin, Cocoa pod extracts, Palm kernel extract, Coconut oil, Honey, Fragrance, Aloe vera, Shea butter.
My Experience: I was desperate at the time I got this soap. Whilst I was searching for a solution I went from soaps to tube creams to lotions but none worked.
For some reason, I remembered black soap. I used to be an ardent supporter of the African black soap until for some reason I fell of the wagon. Whilst I didn’t want to get the traditional one or the native one due to the fact that from previous experience, it leaves my skin way too dry for my liking, I got this one instead.
I can tell you that 3 days into this my pimples had begun to dry up drastically. 2 weeks in my pimples were completely dried out and my skin became tight and smooth. All I had left were spots that I wasn’t particularly bothered about anymore because I knew they would fade off, they were already fading off. I cannot praise this soap enough. I currently use it as my face soap.
How to use: For those that want to use it for acne and acne scarring. Wet your hands or face a bit then scoop a tiny bit and apply on your face. Leave to dry for 2 minutes then wash off with an exfoliating brush or sponge or just your hands. It does tingle your skin a bit initially but after the first few times, it stops.
- Quite affordable.
- It lasts very long. I’ve been using this cup for around 3 months now.
- Lathers well.
- Smells lovely. I do not know what their mixture is but this is the best smelling black soap I’ve come across.
- It is still drying, but I can say it’s not as drying as the native ones.
- I don’t like the fact that it’s sticky and gooey and you have to scoop to use.
This is perfect for everyday use. To remedy the sticky thing, you can melt it in a bit of water in a bottle and use as a liquid soap. It works well that way too. Also, moisturizing is very essential.
