Hi, lovelies!

This is an older post on this blog but for some reason, my posts got lost.

white-care-gold-body-milk-430ml

This is a review of a product that I just have to share. I am so excited to share this with you. This lotion was recommended to me by a lady who sold cosmetics, who also has a spa after I cried to her about all the escapades I had with reactions sometime in 2016. At first, I was skeptical but I did not regret that choice. Let’s see what the rave is all about.

Product Details: White Care Gold Whitening body milk is marketed by Vinco Pharmaceuticals, a Nigerian company. Same marketers of white care carrot line and white care line. To be honest, before this time I do not patronize our locally sold skincare products but I bought this lotion and since then I had a change of heart regarding locally made products. I tend to be more careful instead. Before you think otherwise, it is not a sponsored post. All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Packaging: White care Gold Whitening Body MIlk comes in a sealed golden pack with a 400ml bottled lotion inside.

Price: 1,500naira whichincreased to 2,000naira with a current price of around 2,500naira to 4,000naira. Price may vary depending on your location.

INGREDIENTS; Water, Parafinum Liquidum, Glyceryl Stearate, Isopropyl Myristrate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ethythexyl Methoxycinnamate, Caprylic/Capric Triglycands, Panthenol, Sorbitol, Benzyl Salicytate, Sodium, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Whitening Solutions, Dimethicone, Tapoica Starch, Allantoin, Glycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methyl Paraben, Cyclodimethicone, Disodium EDTA, Titanium Dioxide Dimethicone, Propyl-paraben, Sodium PCA, Tocopheryl, Glyceri, Collagen, Lactic Acid, Butylphenol, Methylpropional, Hydroxycitronellal, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butyl-paraben, Ionone, Lemonene, Parfum.

My Experience

So, I used white care gold and I loved it! I had begun to notice a difference in my skin as early as 2weeks, my skin was plump, smooth, and soft. I had no reactions whatsoever, I had the most compliments on how beautiful my skin looked from people, I was amazed. A lady told me to give her the pack that she had to find it. For a locally marketed lotion, it surpassed my expectation.

Although I would advise people with acne-prone skin to be a little bit careful with it and use an antiseptic soap because it gave someone I knew pimples on her arms and chest even though it lightened her.

I used 2 bottles of white care gold for about 5 months before I stopped. Within the 5 months of using it, I got to about 3 shades lighter. Everyone kept talking about it because I was glowing.

Pros

  • Lightens ever so beautifully.
  • No dark knuckles or dark spots.
  • Hydroquinone free with no harsh substances.

Cons:

  •  “whitening solutions” I do not know what that means. Sounds shady.
  • Relatively scarce. Not all stores may have it.

Rating; 8/10

While I personally think the ingredients list is ridiculously long, I would still recommend it as a safe lightening lotion but acne-prone skin beware. If you notice any reactions please stop usage immediately.

Has anyone used White Care Gold Body Milk? let me know your opinions on the lotion in the comments section.

Yes, have just used it for 6 weeks now. It lightens so well, cleans out your skin including (stretch marks, spots etc) though works scarily fast. Have been having pimples that I usually don’t have on my shoulders, neck and upper chest within 1 weeks of use, really worried about that. Would like to know what the ‘whitening substances’, so that I’m sure they are not using harmful whitening substances which they are trying to conceal using that vague statement. You know we Nigerians and our crave to make money quickly even to the detriment of others.
Until I’m sure or know what they are, I will use it sparingly to sort out hyper pigmentation issues only. For now I’m gonna use natural skin whiteners to clear my skin as they do not have side-effects. I just got to know what they are and that they can be prepared at home. Thanks for sharing your experience using white care gold body cream.

Thanks for sharing your experience. About the pimples, I also noticed it with some people though I think it is all based on skin types. One just has to be careful.

Using natural skin lighteners is a better alternative.

I love white care body milk cream but it gave me pimple on my chest please how do I go about it

    uncovered01 · March 20, 2018 at 6:29 am

Hi crown, your reaction to this lotion is common to those with acne/pimple prone skin.

The first step would be to use the lotion sparingly. What I mean is, use it not everyday and in small amounts so your reaction to it would calm down.

Also, get an antiseptic soap that would help dry out the pimples. a soap like Dudu Osun or any African black soap would also help to dry out the pimples.

If after doing this, you don’t see any improvements I would advice you stop using the lotion all together.
Thanks for commenting, be sure to keep me updated as to how it goes.
    Have a nice day

        uncovered01 · March 21, 2018 at 11:48 am

Hi shugar, yes you can buy white care gold, I know it works. That I am sure of.

I would also like to chip in, you can wait for a month to see if there will be any changes before you buy the gold one.

But if not, you can buy the white care gold.

        Take care.

      Shugar · March 21, 2018 at 3:39 pm

Thank you, but I couldn’t wait cos I used it for almost 3weeks and nothing yet.. I just bought the gold one today and I hope it works as u said..

      Shugar · April 5, 2018 at 12:18 pm

Hi uncovered, the white care gold I bought, it is giving me pimples on my face and chest but it is very slow in lightening my skin. What should I do? I don’t normally have pimples. Pls help me.

    Shugar · April 5, 2018 at 12:24 pm

Hi uncovered, I am using the white care gold but in just one two weeks I’m having serious pimples on my face, chest, and shoulders and I don’t usually have that.. It is also very slow in lightening my skin, only my legs and hands so far.. Please what should I do? I need ur help, I hate pimples.

      uncovered01 · April 5, 2018 at 12:55 pm

Hi shugar, lol, calm down. for the pimples you should use an antiseptic soap or the native African black soap (Ose Dudu or Dudu Osun). Those will help you dry out the pimples.
Secondly, your hands and legs are usually the most exposed parts of the body so with time they will even out, just make sure to limit your exposure to the sun.
Also, try to apply the lotion sparingly, rather than twice a day limit to once a day and mostly in the evenings. It will help reduce the pimples.

      Shugar · April 17, 2018 at 5:39 pm

Thank you very much, I stopped using the cream for over one week now but I judt started again today, as for the antiseptic soap. Can I use Safeguard soap??

        uncovered01 · April 20, 2018 at 7:49 am

Safeguard is fine, crusader, tetmosol and the likes are okay too. You can also try African black soap too. Have a nice day

      Ijeoma · April 25, 2020 at 2:51 pm

Merit · October 29, 2019 at 3:29 pm

I’m chocolate in complexion, but I want to get whiter , between the white gold and the white carrot which one can you advise me to use? Thanks

Half Price Beau · October 30, 2019 at 2:41 pm

    Hi,
I think it depnds on your skin type. But the white care carrot is a better option for most skin types.

Favour · April 7, 2020 at 10:20 am

Please is White care gold good on a very fair skin

Half Price Beau · April 8, 2020 at 10:22 am

    Hi Favour,
Yes, white care gold is good for fair skin tones too. The only thing you should consider is if you are prone to acne? If you are, be watchful but if you are not, you will like the lotion.

Ozi · November 9, 2020 at 11:09 am

Pls is it advisable to use the cream on my face?

Half Price Beau · November 10, 2020 at 7:11 am

    Hi Ozi,
No it is not. kindly get a face cream instead.

Half Price Beau · December 30, 2020 at 7:00 pm

    Hi Ozi,
No, it is not advisable to use this lotion on your face or any body lotion on your face. Get a separate face cream for your face.

Beatrice · October 10, 2021 at 9:30 pm

I just started using d white care gold but it’s darkening and also making sunburn visible on my face though I have eye problem. It’s also giving me rashes, I went back to d store I bought d cream from to complain because I’m using nature white cream but couldn’t get it that day that’s why he gave me white care gold, so d man have me rich pure oil. I’m scared of using d cream back after adding oil. So I think I should buy sunscreen cream😭😭 pls help me

Half Price Beau · October 11, 2021 at 12:51 pm

    Hi Beatrice,

Honestly, I think the white care gold in the market is now fake and adulterated. I tried going back to it recently and it has changed. Firstly, yes, you should always have sunscreen no matter the skincare product you are using. Sunscreen is now compulsory especially if you will be exposed to the sun.
Secondly, STOP USING THE LOTION! When it started giving you rashes was the point you should have stopped using it. Whenever you see any adverse effect from a skincare product, kindly stop use.

Rose · December 2, 2021 at 11:17 pm
