Hey! Hey! Hey!

How’s everyone doing? I hope you are all well? Without further ado, I will go straight to today’s review.

Honestly, I feel the review is coming a little bit late but then, I discovered this soap in the year 2016 and it was introduced to me by a friend. We were sharing our experiences with skincare products when she mentioned it. As at the time that was what she had been using. Then I decided to give it a go and I did not regret it. I bought a bar a few days later and I can’t begin to tell you how many other bars I used since then.

Dettol is a popular brand of the company. Under the Dettol name are antiseptic soaps, petroleum jelly, and disinfectants.

As someone who keeps testing and trying out skincare products, Dettol does not fall into the category of products that I would have been excited to try out but that is what makes Dettol Even Tone Soap different if I must say.

Dettol as a brand boasts of about 80 years in business. Dettol Even Tone claims to take away 99% of the germs while leaving you with a radiant even tone. It contains apricot seeds which aid exfoliation.

Price: It comes in two sizes the 120g size and the 240g size( I think). The 120g size currently sells for 170 naira while the 240g size is around 300 naira. Price may vary based on your location.

The soap bar is white with tiny brown granules and smells so good which is a plus for me. It feels creamy, not slimy on the skin which I am fascinated about. When I started using this soap I noticed it also weirdly helped even out my skin tone after about 1 month of use.

Consistency is the key to enjoying this product.

It is not a skin lightening soap!

  • Very affordable and trustworthy.
  • Creamy, light, and non-drying soap.
  • Smells wonderful.
  • Evens out your skin tone.

  • Does not lather as much as I would love. I love a soap that lathers well.
  • Finished quickly for me.
  • When I stopped the soap, all the issues I had with marks came back.

Rating 7/10

I would recommend it for anyone regardless of your skin tone. If you are looking for something simple and nice for everyday use then this is the soap for you. If you are also trying to heal your skin from discolorations, dark marks, etc and you don’t want any form of skin lightening, I can also recommend this too.

Patience is needed when using this soap especially.
